Sangra. Grita. Late!, Aldo Miyashiro’s narrative that features 10 actors in 3 different stories, received the audience award for best feature film at the Houston Latino Film Festival. La Danza de las Fieras, a feature composed of 6 shorts, that addresses the subject of human trafficking, was voted best overall film as the festival announced its 2018 Grand Prize and Competition Awards.
During the course of the 4-day event, which began March 26, HLFF presented more than 40 independent films from 18 countries. To Infinity, a film about a Mexican father that risks everything for her daughter, won best short film.
