About the Director
Rafaela Camelo is a Brazilian film director and screenwriter. She graduated as a filmmaker from the University of Brasília in 2011. The following year, her debut “The Art of Walking Through the Streets” was exhibited at the Havana Film Festival and Frameline San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival.
BROKEN SUNFLOWER HEARTS

Synopsis
Broken Sunflower Hearts is an intimate portrait that tells the story of Anthony, a lonely history teacher, and his adopted daughter Luna. Unexpectedly Sam, his ex boyfriend, shows up one year after their separation looking for closure or perhaps trying to revive a relationship that once was. Broken Sunflower Hearts is an exploration of the alchemy of love. The kind of love that takes a piece of us with it when we walk away and the kind of love that forever changes us as we move forward.
About the Director
Miguel Angel is a SoCal native and received his bachelor’s degree in Theater from the UCLA School of Theater, Film & Television. After graduating from UCLA, he was part of the Latino Theater Company in Los Angeles where he co-produced and wrote original theater pieces including Melancholia, which had a successful run in Los Angeles and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland where it was nominated for an Amnesty International Award.
ELEPHANTS

Synopsis
Violence and adversity mark Marta’s life and question her ideals of fulfillment. Her boyfriend, Angel, puts more pressure on her. Should they flee El Salvador or should they stay and try to find happiness there? The decision is on Marta’s hands.
About the Director
Javier Kafie (Mexico City, 1982) grew up between Mexico and Central America, and studied in the United States and Germany, specializing in Literary, Cultural and Media Studies at the University of Siegen, Germany. Since 2004 he has worked as editor and collaborator in literary magazines, as well as translator for academic articles. His short stories have been published in literary magazines in El Salvador, Mexico and in the United States. He lives in San Salvador, where he works as a writer, translator and filmmaker.

About the Director
Marcello Quintella Boynard, brazilian screenwriter, directed his first short film in 2010, (Sitiados), that was selected in nearly 50 film festivals around the world and won two best movie prizes, including the audience award winner in the Can-Con Movie Festival – Corto Tokio 2010. In 2011, he created his own company, Fata Morgana Filmes. “The name of the day” (O Nome do Dia), his third film, has received 31 awards.

A solitary Foley Artist secretly films his neighbor and reconstructs the sounds of her life, while creating an imaginary relationship that leads him to discover closely the true sound of his obsession: Lucy.
About the Director
Roberto Gutiérrez was born in Caracas, Venezuela. His aesthetic sensibility comes from his training as a Motion Graphic Designer. His work is characterized by the high aesthetic value, as well as an ingenious narrative that has allowed him to position himself as a versatile Director, in advertising, and music videos.

A Fox-dressed man breaks the spacetime limits with only one goal: to spend some time with his wife. But bellow this recreational act there’s a far more complex and ambitious plan.
About the Director
Marc Martínez Jordan (Calella) graduated as Director from ESCAC in 2012. His first short film, “Timothy” (Official Fantàstic Competition Shorts), combines a naive atmosphere with a violent and distressing script. The Short Film won 38 awards and had more than 200 official selections in film festivals around the world.

About the Director
Barcelona-based filmmaker Curro Bernabeu began his professional career in film and commercial production in 2006, after completing an undergraduate degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Catholic University of Murcia and a Master’s degree in Cinematographic Direction from ESCAC in Terrassa.
